Did you know foreign celebrities have done very well on Sina Weibo and were able to attract thousands of followers after just a single post?
South Korean actor Choi Si-Won joined Sina Weibo and the number of his fans surged to 320,000 within four days. Every blog post he has published has been forwarded thousands of times. Radiohead attracted nearly 70,000 followers after its first post (“Testing the Weibo…”), which was forwarded over 10,000 times.
Even more impressive is the number of celebrities, such as Bill Gates and Tom Cruise, who have acquired nearly 3 and 4 million followers in little over a year.
